ALSO VOTED THE WORLD'S GREATEST HANDLEBAR FOR 2009.
Your results may vary, voting was limited to the surviving nuns from The Sound of Music. These nuns were paid to select the FUbar over other bars and if you happen to be a nun we reserve the right to not pay you to like the bar.

The skinny:

Better hand position for climbs. More natural postition allows for greater leverage and improved comfort.
Narrower width (then straight) climbing bars, normally found on SS's. Ample 635mm (FU) or 600mm (FU2) offer the same climbing power as much wider straight bars.
Big sweep means all that with no bar-ended tree catchers.
Reversible, for use as riser -or- unriser (say on a 29er).

The Digits:
6061 Aluminum
25.4mm Clamp Diameter.
Huge 3.2mm Wall Thickness.
635mm End-to-End Width.
202mm Grip/Lever Clamp area.
Back Sweep 33Deg.
20mm Forward Sweep prior to Back Sweep
26mm Rise (Reversible to -26mm).
Black -OR- Silver. Both w/lazer beam etched Logos...SKULL IN THE CLAMP AREA...ooohhh aahhhh.

I bought the FUBar because it went on sale and had free shipping. Expecting something that would revolutionize my experience on a bike, I slapped them on my KM and promptly spent a week unimpressed.

I put my old flat bars back on and realized that flat bars, even with a wee bit of sweet, are terribly uncomfortable and really wear you out and don't climb quite as the FUBar, especially when seated.

One trick- angle the handlebars a little down.
